Ayamase stew which is also known as Ofada stew or the Nigerian designer stew is one of the numerous stew types we eat in Nigeria. This stew uses a combination of Green colored peppers. The ingredients needed to make Ayamase stew:
  1. Take Green peppers
  2. Take Onions
  3. Make ready Local spice dawadawa
  4. Take Palm oil
  5. Prepare Salt and seasoning
  6. Take Goat meat or beef and snails

Ayamase has many names, it's called Designer stew, Obe Dudu (meaning black stew/soup) Ofada stew which has transitioned to being called Green Ofada. Nigerian Ayamase / Ofada Stew Recipe. Funny enough, the Ofada sauce got it name from the local rice it is usually served with (Ofada rice), the sauce itself is called Ayamase. Ayamase also called designer stew is the 'fraternal twin' of the ofada stew I recently made.

Instructions to make Ayamase stew:
  1. Season and boil meat for about 15minutes
  2. Once cooked pour in a filter to drain
  3. Blend your peppers and onions
  4. Filter the blended puree
  5. Pour your Palm oil in the pot and place on heat allow to heat till it changes colour
  6. Pour dawadawa sliced onions into the oil
  7. Allow to fry for few minutes and pour in the filtered blended peppers
  8. Fry for a few minutes and add the filtered liquid
  9. Add more seasoning spices of your choice and some of the meat stock
  10. Fry for a few minutes and bring down ready to be served.

Omega-3 fatty acids and DHA are two things that actually help the grey matter in your brain work a lot better. It’s true: eating a tuna fish sandwich can actually help you overcome depression.

It’s not hard to drive away your bad mood when you consume grains. Quinoa, barley, teff, millet, etc are all great for helping you be in a happier state of mind. They help you feel full as well which can actually help to better your mood. It’s not difficult to feel a little bit off when you are starving! These grains can improve your mood because it’s not at all hard for your body to digest them. These foods are easier to digest than others which helps jumpstart a rise in your glucose levels which in turn kicks up your mood to a happier place.

Your mood could actually be helped by green tea. You were sure it had to be mentioned in this article, right? Green tea is high in a particular amino acid known as L-theanine. Studies have discovered that this amino acid actually stimulates brain waves. This will better your brain’s focus while at the same loosening up the rest of your body. You likely already knew how easy it is to get healthy when you consume green tea. Now you know that it helps you to elevate your moods also!
