Basbousa cake is a dessert from the Middle East that is made primarily from a semolina mixture. It is popular throughout Middle Eastern countries as well as North Africa, Iran, Greece and Turkey.

A delicious coconut, yogurt and semolina/farina cake that gets sprinkled with nuts and drizzled with syrup to put the final seal of perfection. Basbousa/basboosa is a term in the Middle east that refers to a very sweet semolina - sort of- cake. Cream together butter and sugar in a mixing bowl. Mix the semolina, sugar, and baking powder.

Steps to make Basbousa(semovita cake):
  1. In a bowl add all dry ingredients(flour,semovita,sugar,baking powder,baking soda)
  2. In another bowl add beaten egg,oil,yoghurt and mix well
  3. Add the mixture into the dry ingredient and mix well,add vanilla flavor,grated coconut,vineger and mix again
  4. Pour in to baking tray and bake @180 C for 15 minutes.
  5. Used a Thooth pick when it comes out clean it’s done.ENJOY

Pour the ghee into the bowl with the semolina mixture and mix until all the semolina is incorporated. Add in the yogurt and mix until you have a squishy dough.

They can help you feel full for longer also, helping you feel better. Feeling starved can actually bring you down! The reason these grains are so wonderful for your mood is that they are easy for your stomach to digest. They are easier to digest than other foods which helps bring up your blood sugar levels and that, in turn, elevates your mood.

Green tea is wonderful for moods. You were simply waiting to read that here, weren’t you? Green tea is high in a certain amino acid called L-theanine. Research has found that this amino acid promotes the production of brain waves. This will improve your brain’s focus while also relaxing the rest of your body. You knew that green tea helps you be a lot healthier. Now you are well aware that green tea helps you to raise your moods too!
